Acclaimed Calgary Fine Sculptor Tops Canada’s List Of Artists
In the world of fine art there are a few artists who truly stand out in the crowd. One of these artists is Canadian portrait artist, Zinour. Zinour was recently named a Top 30 Portrait Artist in Canada at the Kingston Prize biennial competition held this year at the Grand Theatre in Kingston. This Calgary fine artist competition considers the work of only 30 finalists and is highly competitive.
One of the chosen top thirty artists was Zinour; he was chosen through a highly competitive and regulated initial phase in the competition. Zinour was chosen as a top thirty finalist in the 2009 competition just a few months ago. An amazingly large number of gifted fine artists and portrait artists are from Canada and still reside there. Zinour has an amazing gift for creating an accurate representation of his subject through a mixture of accuracy and artistic contribution.
Zinour works in a variety of medium from pastels to wood carving. There is a magnificent variety in his work. His collection has everything from traditional portraits to totem carvings along with non-traditional portraits. Zinour also features animals in his work in many cases.
Zinour has also done pieces that praise the accomplishments of those he admires. For example, the painting, Christos Hatzis: Juno award-winning, Canadian composer; professor of composition at the University of Toronto is an excellent example of an individual admired by the author for his own contributions to art. This masterpiece portrait captures the composer in a natural way. It is amazing.
There are too many people in the world who do not know what amazing work Canadian fine artists have to give to the world. Canada is often overlooked as an artistic hotspot of the world. The most breath-taking portraits I have ever seen were done by Canadian artists. They were so amazing that I simply cannot forget them no matter how many years pass.
Zinour carries on the tradition well as a Calgary fine artist. Anyone with a passion for art or simply a curiosity would do well to take a look at Canadian artists. It is sure to be a moving and thought-provoking experience.
