Beadwork – 5 Fun Christmas Designs: Convenient, Good Looking And Attractive
Christmas is the time of fun, and if you are a fan of beading and bead craft, then you can utilize your passion for the hobby to fuel a whole new appearance for your house this holiday season with a collection of free beadwork! If you’re looking for fun Christmas beading ideas to add to the festive look to your home this Dec 25, then keep reading and we will outline five Christmas projects you can try!
1 – Candy Canes – Simple and attractive as beadwork go, you don’t need much in the way of supplies to make these, and the designs are child-friendly to boot! The good news is that with even a modest stock of supplies, you’ve possibly got everything you require to make several of these with supplies on hand, and they make magnificent decorations for your Christmas tree!
2 – Christmas Trees – Little miniature trees can be made quickly and effortlessly, with or without “decorations” (you can use multi-colored glass beads sewn around the tree design in different locations for a beautiful effect!). One more child-friendly design that comes together fairly quickly!
3 – Wreaths – Just like the tree design, above, but a bit more complex, and as such, perhaps not as “kid friendly” (because they take a little longer to execute and see the results of your efforts, smaller children might get frustrated before they’re finished). Still, it’s a fantastic little project that looks beautiful when finished! Purchase a few shades of green seed beads to make shadow and texture in your pieces, and highlight with red bits of holly.
4 – Angels – A moderately more tricky piece (and again, anything that younger children may not have the patience for), the simplest patterns to work with display angels in profile. Buy different shades of white, silver, and gray to make a dimensional effect in your pieces. These look wonderful on the tree!
5 – Snowflakes – Of all the beading ideas mentioned here, the snowflake pattern is the toughest one to get right. This is definitely not a pattern that young children could assist with, as these can get fairly complex. They make among the most gorgeous and striking decorations on the tree, however, and if you’ve got the skill level and patience for it, you’ll be well rewarded for your hard work! Executing one pattern well is (or can be) a somewhat daunting task, but if you are feeling specially adventurous, you can try making each snowflake on your tree unique! It’s a tall order, but can surely be done, just be ready to dedicate quite lots of time to the task!
As you can see from just the five beadwork above, there are all kinds of fun holiday beading tasks you can sink your teeth into, and this list just barely scratches the surface!
