Build A Child’s First Jewelry Container

Little girls possess their own wants and needs. Your young daughter or niece could be asking for a jewelry box to claim as her very own.  Before giving in to her desires and wishes, why don’t you look at an alternative choice?  Help her make her very own box that can be as wonderful and distinctive as she actually is.

Pick up the Needed Materials

Cool off, the making of a child’s first jewelry box is a reasonably straightforward activity which does not need too much costly materials.  Except for the child’s originality, almost everything can be found at a local hobby shop. Supplies for this activity consist of a petite wooden box, a little adhesive or rubber cement, a pair of scissors, a sheet of material roughly a square foot in dimension, color markers, beads, or whatever you and the kid artist have in mind of incorporating.

First Step:  Arrange the Jewelry Box

First of all, pick out the type of box to be used as jewelry box and ensure it is free from any cracking ends or shattered corners.   The chosen box could be made from wood or plastic that is found in the craft market. Make sure to eliminate abrasive corners by using sandpaper. Otherwise you can apply a sanding approach which will provide fun to you and the young crafter by teaching her the right approach like sanding in one path.

Second Step:  Coating the Inside of the Jewelry Box

Have you ordered the bits of cloth I mentioned for you to get? Well, that was one significant piece  since that cloth will be used to make the interior of the jewelry box.  Cut the material using the box being your guide so that it will create a layout which will line the interior of the box as well as the covers.  Everything including the bottom and sides should be lined.  Have your kid artist glue the fabric to the inside of the box let her do this under your watching sight. As you wait around for the glue to dry up in your jewelry box, take your little artisan and collect the rest of the materials for the last step.

Third step: Customize!

This remaining step is when you let your little Picasso show her stuff.  Take the jewelry box, position it on a set of newspapers, open up the paints, grab the beads, markers and glue, and let your little artist beautify the jewelry box in her own unique style.  Is this activity be messy? Obviously it’s going to be.  It’s only half the fun.  Yet the moment the color and adhesive dries, you’ll be presented with a jewelry box that is nearly as exceptional as the little individual that helped you build it.
