Foot Tattoos May Be Worth the Pain
Putting your best foot forward, as they say, is one way of staying ahead of the game. One way to stay ahead in the fashion stakes these days is through foot tattoos. Fast becoming the latest must have accessory for celebrities and the style conscious, it is important to ensure you are happy with what you decide to have done.
If you are considering having a foot tattoo, it is important to carefully decide which image you want to use. It is always best to go into the parlor with a design in mind, rather than leaf through the well-thumbed books they will hand you.
Of course, this is not to say that you can’t use tried and tested images as a base for your design. Some which work particularly well are vines, flowers and other organic images. Many of course elect to go for a loved one’s name; just be sure that loved one will be there as long as your tattoo!
Just as important as the design, is where on your foot it will be placed.
There are no limits regards where foot tattoos can be placed of course, but some areas and designs work better together than others. Elegant designs can also accentuate the length of your foot or the slimness of your ankle too; whilst others can have the opposite effect.
Light colors will perhaps look better on the foot, but may fade too quickly over time. Have in mind which colors you wish to go for, but have a discussion with your artist; use his or her professionalism. It is their job after all.
As with most things worth pursuing, there are a couple of downsides to foot tattoos. No more so than with the pain you will feel through the process; it will hurt. This can of course be lessened depending where you choose to have the tattoo, but wherever you decide, some swelling will ensue.
As a result, it is important you allow yourself some time to recover fully and look after the scab well. Ensure you cover your foot properly every time you go out; but also allow it time to breathe each day.
Absolutely without question do not expose the tattoo to any significant daylight, and most certainly UV rays for at least a month after the procedure.
Foot tattoos can be beautiful, and look simply stunning dressed well with summer clothes and footwear. Just be sure to have a design you will be happy to look on for years to come.
