In The lord We Tru$t: Ignorant friar Feldman treks to L.A. to raise money for his monastery. This film is a comedy that is tragically unfunny containing Pryor, who plays God. No Man Is an Island: Spotty production values harm real tale of serviceman Hunter snared on Guam throughout the 3 years Japanese commanded region. Cast includes John Friars, Jr., Richard Goldstone. Rambo: Much better than part II, this one continues to be firmly footed in the genre of mindless Action Films, as our brawny idol goes behind Russian battle lines in Afghanistan to save his buddy from a prison fortress. You will see lots of eruptions to keep the action going and some funny stuff thrown in too. Cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna, Marc de Jonge, Kurtwood Smith, Spiros Focas, and Sasson Gabai. (101 minutes, 1988)

The Great McGinty: Sturges’ directorial debut (and Oscar winning screenplay) isn’t up to his later comedy classics, however Donlevy is phenomenal as the bum who is put into the governor’s chair by crooked partisans and then blows it all while he tries to be truthful. Cast includes Brian Donlevy, Muriel Angelus, Akim Tamiroff, Allyn Joslyn, and Louis Jean Heydt. (81 minutes, 1940)

I Love You: Stupid, pretentiously arty journal of relation between Braga and Pereio, each of whom tries to exploit the other. Sonia, nonetheless, is pleasant to check out. Cast includes Sonia Braga, Paulo Cesar Pereio, Vera Fischer, Tarcisio Meira, Maria Lucia Dahl, and Regina Case. (104 minutes, 1981)
