Watch The Movie Daybreakers

You would have likely guessed that for one reason or another, vampire films and television programs have been getting a huge push. People are eating this up, and the people behind this media are all to eager to deliver it. However, when a movie comes out that takes a standpoint unseen before, it transcends the vampire hype and is just a good movie to see. That was the case with “Daybreakers”.

The interesting thing about this particular film, is that it was able to not only stay true to mythology surrounding vampires, but how very unique the story is to watch even with it being true to form with mythology. By reading through this particular piece, you will get a good look at why this film is different and several paragraphs to give you key plot points.

Apart from just having a good plot synopsis, you really should appreciate what makes this film so unique to the genre. For starters, this is taken from a perspective of the fact that nearly everyone in the world is a vampire. So much in fact, that the humans that are remaining are slowly becoming extinct and hard to come by. This will fuel a lot of the decisions made in the film.

You should be aware that if you have not seen the film yet, and plan to, that this particular plot synopsis might give you a little bit more about the film than you might have cared to know preliminarily. However, if you don’t really care either way, than allow me to give you some of the key plot points. The film opens with the knowledge that the world is 95 percent vampire now. They are trying to farm human blood, but are running out of humans. A team is working to create synthetic blood to sustain the population.

Ethan Hawke is Edward Dalton, a man who is in charge of seeing that a synthetic form of blood is created to sustain the population of vampires. If he cannot come up with a solution such as this, than millions of vampires could die of starvation, which is grotesque and painful to say the very least.

A chance meeting with a group of humans has left Dalton in an awkward position. For helping the humans, he could end up in quite a good bit of trouble. Willem DaFoe portrays one of the humans, that you later learn used to be a vampire. He is technically the leader of the group and he retells the events of how he managed to turn human again from having been a vampire.

Dalton had never wanted to be a vampire in the first place, and relishes the chance to become human again and sees to it that he orchestrates a similar situation to what Elvis described. After a couple of failed attempts, Dalton is returned to being a human with a beating heart and pumping blood. Now its time to tell his former company about the cure.

“Daybreakers” reaches its climax as Edward Dalton is to have another encounter with his former boss, Charles Bromley (Sam Neill). By this point, the audience has learned that humans who used to be vampires have different blood. This blood will turn a vampire back into being a human as well. So for every vampire that attempts to feed on one of these humans, also becomes a human capable of turning other vampires.
